Found: Fan-made short 'Portal: Survive!' filmed for under $500

As we’ve often seen in the past, fan-made movie trailers – or shorts – like 2010’s Mortal Kombat: Rebirth are often better than the real thing. That’s why when I caught wind of a new fan-made Portal film that ties in with the game as well as the Lab Rat comic book storyline, I knew I had to share it with everyone here.

Portal: Survive! was created by two brothers, Colin and Connor McGuire, that write, direct and produce films on their YouTube channel. It was filmed at YouTube’s Space LA – a 41,000 square foot digital video production and post-production facility that’s completely free to use for YouTube Partner Program members. The brothers spent less than $500 to create the embedded clip above – very impressive!

Found is a TechSpot feature where we share clever, funny or otherwise interesting stuff from around the web.
